First and foremost, get inflation under control. If you do that, government debt is less of a issue as you can return interest rates to the recent low levels.

Then think about tax cuts,if that's what you want to do. You can then cover the spending deficit by issuing debt if interest rates and inflation are low. And if tax cuts is what you want to do, then raise the bands, rather than cut the headline rates.
 
Just a thought occurred to me - despite #15 lying to her Her Majesty never had any issues with her 16 PM's - Truss has taken less than a month to order the new King not to attend a conference because it doesn't suit her plans to destroy the environmental curbs we are agreed on. This could be a constitutional crisis if the King says he is going regardless - she if fucking mental

He won’t go.

The fact that it’s been leaked out so early that she blocked it is enough for him to get his revenge by making her look a ****.

When she gets asked about it her response will be “I don’t accept the premise of your question” which has become her go to catchphrase used when she’s asked a tricky question.

Its already in the Guardian that he has "decided not to attend" - I do hope he is planning an uber revenge just when she needs him

He might not want to be in any way controversial at the start of his reign.

When does the period of mourning actually finish? With the coronation?
 
Fuck me she’s on tv now asked three times are you going to cut public services, she will not answer, you know what’s coming, if anyone in public sector thinks they’re getting a pay rise, forget it, a winter of discontent incoming.
