A cabinet minister until a few weeks ago has just told me

‘has unleashed hell on this country.’ The language being used by senior Conservatives, the incredulity, the cold fury is like nothing I’ve seen in decades of covering UK politics
To be more incompetent than BJ is quite an achievement in itself. And to think they worked under BJ. What a mess she has made of this.

I'm guessing she's blocking Dacre's knighthood then. The Mail has turned.
Harsh on slab head. The Harry Maguire of politics.
If I were to be PM and make significant changes that could potentially be controversial, I'd make sure I sounded my own people out first to check I had support to get the changes passed.

The 9% who have a favourable view of Liz Truss, should seek immediate medical attention. From the Guardian....
In the latest round of extraordinary polling, a survey by People Polling for the Daily Telegraph has found Labour’s lead has stretched to a huge 34 points, with the Conservatives on 19%.
In worse news for Liz Truss, just 9% of the public have a favourable view of her.
Prof Matthew Goodwin, the pollster behind the research, told the newspaper [£]: “These numbers mean that Liz Truss is more unpopular than Boris Johnson and Jeremy Corbyn ever were – she is basically in what I would call Prince Andrew territory.”
