A cabinet minister until a few weeks ago has just told me
@trussliz
‘has unleashed hell on this country.’ The language being used by senior Conservatives, the incredulity, the cold fury is like nothing I’ve seen in decades of covering UK politics
And to think they worked under BJ. What a mess she has made of this.

saw one earlier when an MP was bemoaning " we have a choice we can either have a shit sandwich or a sandwich with some shit on it. What have we done?"

Like Johnson the pressure is mounting and the end will come quickly - and rather soon - anyone know the odds on her being the shortest serving PM in UK history?

Gosh, that was a collection of "Don't look here" distraction from the Tory press!

From the Guardian....

In the latest round of extraordinary polling, a survey by People Polling for the Daily Telegraph has found Labour’s lead has stretched to a huge 34 points, with the Conservatives on 19%.

In worse news for Liz Truss, just 9% of the public have a favourable view of her.

Prof Matthew Goodwin, the pollster behind the research, told the newspaper [£]: “These numbers mean that Liz Truss is more unpopular than Boris Johnson and Jeremy Corbyn ever were – she is basically in what I would call Prince Andrew territory.”

Rely on John Crace: "All of this makes life well-nigh impossible for the more sentient members of Librium Liz’s cabinet who happily signed up to her agenda – anything for a top job – without realising she was seriously dangerous. Or dangerously serious. That she actually meant some of the batshit policy she had droned on about in the summer during her leadership campaign."

The 9% who have a favourable view of Liz Truss, should seek immediate medical attention.
