Does anyone know if we are going to recall Nypan?

Seemed to have lots of potential the loan to Boro but it doesn’t seem to be working, if Echi won’t go to Girona they he could be good for Girona!

My friend who has a Luton season ticket says Emilio Lawrence had a decent debut for them at the weekend

First team loans:

Vitor Reis (Girona): 16 apps

Jack Grealish (Everton): 16 apps, 2 goals

Manuel Akanji (Inter): 14 apps

Sverre Nypan (Middlesbrough): 16 apps

Claudio Echeverri (Leverkusen - Terminated): 6 apps

Juma Bah (Nice): 12 apps

Josh Wilson Esbrand (Radomiak): 2 apps
If you just look at it based on appearances Nypan looks to have had a good loan but he seems to be a bit part player mainly, no goals or assists so far this season either.

We need minutes as well as appearances to judge, as playing 15 minutes in every match would count as more appearances than playing a full 90 every other match.

I was under the impression that
a reason we were keen for Nypan to remain in England this season was that it would subsequently allow him to qualify as homegrown. Assuming that is the case, then while a move abroad might gain him more playing time now, it might undermine his homegrown credentials and weaken our hand down the line. Better then that he remains on Teeside.

I thought Nypan had started quite well but seems to have fizzled out due to the change of manager and lack of minutes / confidence.

Will be a great experience for him as a person. Hopefully he'll come out stronger because of it.
Comment from a Borough fan (though Spain wont happen due to making him homegrown)

"He has good feet but too lightweight for the rigours of the Championship in my view.

I have likened him to Odegaard. Highly rated and had to find the right club and league to grow and develop. When he eventually did, he grew into his “wonderkid” reputation, which itself is a burden.

Think he will be a good player at some point, but wouldn’t be surprised or that unhappy if he was recalled and sent out to Italy or Spain."

We've signed Jayden Heskey on loan for the rest of the season. Thoughts?

We're grateful for bodies at the minute and the kid will probably come into a team where I'd be suprised if we win another game all season.

He's a solid midfielder with a great engine. Will be up and down and not afraid to get a foot in.

Wouldn't say he's the quickest but he's strong on the ball and likes to play in the sort of number 8 position.

But he's versatile and will do a job anywhere. He reminds me of someone like James Milner who has a great work ethic, will put the team first and always give you 100%. Nothing fancy.

Thanks m8

Sort of player we could do with, and for him 1/2 a season playing Championship football against better teams will help his development

Divin Mubama was stretchered off today in Stoke's draw with QPR. Hopefully not as bad as it sounds.
