Hopefully these results will hammer home to Labour and the Tories of how much a shit show they have been serving us up, over the last 6/7 years or so.

These results just show how much anger is at the homes of the general public. I don't think necessarily people are voting Reform because Farage looks like the bloke that will lead us to the promised land. It's just a case.of any body but Kier or the tories...

It's about time governments do what they are supposed to do and work for the people of this country - not against them!!

Or maybe it is the actual real reason that for 10 20 30 years age depending they haven't turned it around or delivered on their promises.

Btw sick pay £122 a week doesn't get anyone dancing in the street, also have a look at how much rent and ground rent is as of today.

Not just in terms of how our culture has changed, fashion, music etc. but also the demographics of the country. I realise the vast majority of the new arrivals are decent people that just want to get on in life but when the numbers are too high, it changes the entire country and it does concern me.

I won’t vote for Reform, I didn’t yesterday, because Farage is a total charlatan and a snake oil salesman, they’re not equipped to successfully lead and I think they’ll botch their policies, I also don’t agree with a lot of them.

But I understand why many of the public, who aren’t these marauding right wing thugs and aren’t thick either, have gone down that route. I also understand why many Labour voters have gone Green. They were promised a lot off Starmer and the economy has actually got worse than under Sunak, with not a lot else changing on a day to day level. I wouldn’t vote for Polanski with a gun to my head but I understand why many feel “well if you (Starmer) won’t enact the change I want, maybe he (Polanski) will”.

Is it good for our country, no, but the themes throughout the last few pages of calling Reform Fascists and their voters all racists, is wrong and isn’t going to help bring those people round.

Trouble is Reform are a bunch of fascists funded by foreign fascists and those who vote for Farage are doing this country a great disservice. .

Yeah we disagree but that’s fine. I don’t see anything in your post that I think is a decent argument so we won’t agree and find common ground, other than the fact I think we both probably think Farage won’t be successful and isn’t a good option.

So in a nutshell, the people who are calling reform voters thick cunts for voting for them, are actually the real thick cunts for pushing them further that way and not realising...
 
Unpopular view but genuinely have some sympathy for Starmer because a lot of it feels related to immigration issues. Him and Mahmood have actually passed legitmate legislation to stem the numbers but the horse has bolted. Some of the individuals who oversaw it all are now not only in opposition, but Reform itself.

because I see the rise in people being openly racist around me, family, ex colleagues, flags...behaviour that was frowned upon and forced to keep to themselves, now encouraged..I have v little patience left to explain their behaviour other than to call it for what it is-thick racists who want to doth their caps to the billionaire classes. what would you call it?

this country is likely headed to a fascist shit hole.

Whether Labour manage to do it or not the use of hotels is dropping. Where and what they do with processing crossings after that in a cost effective manner will be fun and games.

I don’t see any focus though on the rising unemployment and lack of opportunity for kids leaving college and uni that will end up ballooning the welfare budget even more. Raising national insurance contributions for employers and raising the minimum wage has spooked a lot of organisations to go into survival mode. It’s pointless raising the minimum wage if there’s no jobs being created for people to go into. Unfortunately I don’t see it getting any better any time soon with Farage’s mate causing economic shocks with his war in Iran.
 
At 63 it feels like the country has extinguished Blue Peter and Magpie and replaced it with Tiswas and Banana Splitz , crazy, toxic time with lifelong labour voters voting for lord haw haw and impressionable optimists for a party in dreamland and with toxic internal diferences once closer to power.
