login problems.

Just a heads up, I flushed the dns cache earlier but it's logging me out once again. Today was the first time it's ever done it so perhaps they're still working on the servers.

Can you give me info?

We set 3 cookies - a string of characters then, _id= _k= and _sid=

id is the UID and SID is the session. k should be the one that retains your login. Can you tell me the k and sid value of the cookies when you login? Are you seeing a ?sid= argument in the URL at the top?

This all looks and sounds very complicated. Please just tell me that when you have finished everything will be back to normal.

What exactly have you done?
Which browser are you using?
What extensions or add-ons have you got installed?
Does your entire browsing history disappear when you close and then reopen your browser?

I have deleted all board cookies and deleted all my browser history.
What is a browser?
I don't have things like extensions and add- ons as I don't know what they are.
No my history stays installed ( if that's the right term )

This all started at the weekend but I have not done anything different.

HELP.
First open up a new tab and then close the Bluemoon tab.

If it's IE11 you're using then click on the little cog icon in the top right (or hit Alt+X) and select "Internet Options".
In the dialogue that pops up make sure that "delete browsing history on exit" is NOT checked.
Click on "delete..."
Make sure the top 4 boxes are all checked.
Click on "delete" and when it's finished click on "OK"
Go to http://forums.bluemoon-mcfc.co.uk/index.php and click on Login.
Make sure that "log me in automatically each visit" is checked.

Have done all this mate, the good news is that the site seems to respond a lot quicker but the bad news is that I still have to log in every time.

Thanks for all your help and time mate, much appreciated.

No problems, it looks like it's not down to your computer anyway (sort of). Servers and web hosting blah blah blah isn't something I know a lot about myself TBH.

That said, clearing your history every so often will help in all of your web browsing.

I've no idea if this is related but It was telling me I had attempted to log in too many times this morning and I had to go through the CAPCHA stuff.

This happen to me as well tonight over here, but for the last 30-40mins I have spent just looking at a blank screen where BlueMoon should have been, had to log back on and even then it took ages for me to come back on the site.................

Did we really have this many connections ???
When I read this I thought BM was in meltdown and we had confirmed that MP had left us.

Lol, that's what I thought. It had me scampering to Sky to check.

And the bugger is still logging me out at random moments.

No mate, 1040 is the error code for that error.

We actually have around 1,000,000 requests per day on non-matchdays. Much more on matchdays.

Wouldn't let me on and then told me that i had also exceeded the attempts.
But then it asked me a question, Who scored our winning goal in the 2011-2012 season ?
LOL

We've updated the DNS servers which often fucks with people's logins.

You need to flush your DNS cache.

On Mac:

You could of used BLUE arrows ;)[/quote]

I get 'no matching processes found'?

Edit - managed to flush dns, but still getting logged out every time a page loads.

Presuming you're using a Mac there's some useful information here: http://www.maclife.com/article/howtos/easy_mac_hacks_solve_connection_issues_clearing_os_x_dns_cache, I would clear both cache's and there's more info that may help here: http://www.maclife.com/article/howtos/easy_mac_hack_checking_dns_cache_statistics

Go there please mate and copy-paste in the text in the textbox to a new post here

Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_7_5) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/42.0.2311.90 Safari/537.36

I used sudo killall -HUP mDNSResponder because I'm on Lion, if that helps?
