Difficult to see what happened, but from the looks of it, a member of the public was trying to restrain the attacker, the policeman pulled the member of the public aside so they could get a clear shot at the bastard, and then they shot him.

If this is the case, doubtless the do-gooders will be out in force, going on about police brutality. And some poor sod police officers will end up suspended and subject to criminal investigation.

And doubtless the hangers and floggers will be out in force before all the facts are known and people will be getting worked up about hypothetical do gooders and scenarios
