born didsbury, lived in poynton till 15 years ago, love the north, but London is not a shit hole. Lived here for for past 15 years. met my wife (an aussie) love her to bits and still follow the blues. Great city!

Bet your Aussie wife lived around the Earls Court area, heard it's full of Aussies round there.

I spent a fortnight or so in Hackney last year, it's a wonderful place.

I lived there for two years and I learned three things-
Most cockneys are ignorant and paranoid.
The Irish were fuckin ace....I rarely had to pay for beer.
Its the only place in the world where you can see some tosser walk down the street with a red and white pin striped suit with a straw boater, sporting outrageous facial hair and NOBODY bats an eyelid.

Anyone who says London is a shit-hole has never been to Birmingham!

Joking aside, I've visited London, and was vastly underwhelmed.

Manchester & Liverpool are my favourite cities.

I was in Birmingham the other day, jaysus it IS a shit hole.

Second city? My bum.

I'll stick to Manchester, best city in the UK.

It's a City full of History. St Pauls (to cite just one building) is so far away from being anything that is commonplace that it beggars belief that some cannot see.

If you don't understand that then fair enough.

It's a shithole full of tourists.
