Just a note for anyone getting the train down for the Spurs game. The Victoria line is closed after Kings Cross and the northern Line Bank Branch is also closed on the Sunday.

The best thing to do is go out of Euston and go to Euston Square tube, where you can get an eastbound tube to Liverpool St then a train to WHL.

London Transport, especially Buses, are affected because of the riots. It will be worth checking nearer the game to see if they are back to normal. When I checked it was telling me to walk 1.5 miles from the Stadium to the Bus stop!! http://www.tfl.gov.uk/

Hi mate, you seem to have an in depth knowledge of London transport so can I ask for a bit of help. I was originally going to drive to somewhere that meets the line that Northumberland Park is on but I understand that line is closed on the day of the Spurs game. So now looking for somewhere on the White Hart Lane line and considering Enfield. Trains seem to be every half hour going south to Spurs but wondering if they get really busy on match days. I've done Northumberland Park before and preferred that because it was easier getting on after the game there.

Any views or info ?

thanks
Rob

The trains start at Enfield and I think they put on extra on matchdays so you should have no trouble getting there. After, you could walk to Bruce Grove station, which is the next stop towards London and therefore straight out of the away end down the High road. Will take you 10 minutes or so to walk it. Then you get on the train before most of the crowds at WHL. Don't think they're as busy going that way anyway.

right, sorry for being a muppet, is there a train direct from liverpool street to whl? or is it via enfield?

Can't see it being via Enfield as that is about 4 stops north of WHL. Stand to be corrected but I think they are saying it will be direct from Liverpool St. It's me that through a spanner in with asking about Enfield. I can't get a train in time so having to drive.

The train goes from Liverpool Street to WHL. Got it last season. Big Wetherspoons at Liverpool Street as well.
It will be rammed with Seven Sisters out of action though. The queue to get back was a nightmare, nearly an hour before we got on the train. It might be even worse this year.

cheers guys. i can imagine it being a pain in the arse if the other line is out of order.

I spoke to a spurs fan and he mentioned that from WHL to the station is quite a distance, is that right?

may be taxi time for me I reckon.

Not to the WHL train station. It's only a couple of hundred yards away.

He might have meant Seven Sisters, which is also a tube stop. That's about a 20-25 minute walk.
