long distance dilemma?

I'm on the Cup scheme but not even bothering with the semi.

Just don't agree with the semis at Wembley, decided to give the last one against United a miss also.

It's all about the Final for me, not the day out, having something tangible at the end of it rather than just bragging rights.

I'm kind of leaning towards the final too.

If you take it in your own isolation, you have a bloody long and expensive way to come to miss out on what this competition is supposed to be about, lifting the actual trophy.

Might as well be at the actual main event that decides it.

There will come a day when we meet United in a Final, and that's where your saved dollars might be more needed?

The Semi final last time was great , maybe because it was the first time at wembley

however the final was pure emotion and to see us lift the cup , thats what its all about.

Go to the final.

If you go to the semi and we win, you'll have all the build up to the final to contend with, wondering whether you should return, it'll be unbearable. If we lose the semi, you'll wish you hadn't gone!!

What would you do?

I now live in Canada and have to pick my games carefully.

I was planning to get over for the final, but with the draw falling the way it has, if we get the rags I suspect it will be a bigger event/atmosphere than the final...and if we win I expect the craic will be better than winning the final.

So...semi v rags or Final v Wigan/Millwall/B'burn?

I did the semi and final last time...but can't do it again this year.

Decisions...decisions
The final against Stoke in 2011 was ten times better than the semi v United. Better day, better occasion, better feeling when we won, we lifted a trophy and there weren't 30000 wankers there to dilute the quality of the day.

I also went to the semi and final last time, like you we now live abroad (Dubai) and can only do one match. For me it has to be the semi, if it is versus United like last time then beating them felt better or at least as good as when we won the Cup versus Stoke. This time versus Rags or Chelski , both who are in good form so would be a great semi for us to win. Or a final where we would be hot favourites to win it versus Blackburn , Wigan or Millwall, no brainer in my view, some will disagree!

Which of you numpties persudaded me to go to the final instead of the Semi!?!?!?!?

7000 mile round trip and not a single goal to celebrate. I expended more effort lifting my bag onto the check-in scales than most of our lot???

Oh well...See you all at the Green Man again next year (maybe for the semi)

;-)
