Long weekend in Istanbul at end of May - Turkey on Govt Red List

Hotel booked a few days ago, waiting to see what is said before sorting flights, odds of getting a ticket might be slim but stranger things have happened

It’s not red country now so unlikely to be, more likely to be amber. 10 days isolation which can be reduced to 5 with additional test.
On Turkish airlines you can book for £15 and lock in the price, pay by Friday night (72 hours) once more info available. Only risk then is £15

Anyone reckon the club will force us to pay for some official package? Worried about having booked an independent flight and having to fork out twice

the blonde tramp is likely to announce the categories tomorrow, prior to local elections, to try to get a bump in his ratings.
if he doesn’t, then it’s due on Friday.
if Turkey is Amber, which seems likely, you’ll need;
negative test prior to depature
negative test prior to return
10 day quarantine at home
tests on day 2 & 8 after return

tests are around £60 in UK (that’s 3 x £60)
there is a test centre at Ataturk airport which is £25 which takes few hours for results.

you can take an early release test on day 5 (£60 again) but you’ll still need to pay for the day 2 & 8 tests.

so that’s an extra £200 minimum on top of the flights/hotel.

not putting me off though.

Looked on turkish airlines saying anything between £250-£290.

Do you have a link to these £15 deals

Apologies to those who say 'the information is online', but I've seen so much conflicting information that I thought I'd ask you chaps that are going!

From what I understand, you need 2 jabs in the UK, must quarantine over here for 10 days and a negative test result before you travel (as long as Turkey is given an amber rating tomorrow). My main question is though, what are the Turkish authorities saying? do we know if they require us to quarantine for an allotted amount of time once we get over there? I.E is it possible to go over for a couple of nights?

Thanks guys

Come on City!!

Turkey will welcome UK citizens due to our low case numbers and are not asking for a PCR test as per the tweet earlier in the thread.

They will be amber at present. They've gone from a peak of 63k daily cases on 16th April to 25k yesterday. If they get to an average of 14k they should be put on the UK green list meaning no quarantine on return.

They went into a lockdown last weekend which is due to end on 17th May and the aim is to achieve a 5k daily rate.

We're getting in.
