Looking down on 'glory hunters' is arrogance

I love and support city and ALWAYS will. Now here is the point. Watching another team has never been a problem- I have watched Bury a few times but it's the changing of your allegiance which concerns me.
& why should you be so concerned at what others do? i would just say get a life. live & let live i dont give a flying fu*k, what other people do & think .what others do concerns me not in the slightest

Who is concerned?? Certainly not me,you do what you like but you posted this on an open forum therefore I am entitled to respond to your post. If not, then why post in the first place.?
Respond all you like that is ni problem ,but You quite clearly said its the changing of allegiance that concerns me ,all i am saying why should what any one else choses to do with ther elife concern you live & let live .why give a flying fu*k what someone else wants to do with there life

I must have forgotten to pack up my fishing rod when I logged off.

But this is what I said previously, you're very confrontational even though no one was addressing you. Hence why I wanted our discussion to be via PM, to avoid posts like the above.

Ah well.

P.S. Vinjay, stop acting like you were singled out by EVERY Blackburn fan and victimised. You should support the team, the players. The fans should have no bearing on your support for your club.

Does this mean I am going to be summoned to your office again (rolls eyes back)
"Again"

You mean when you made an abrasive and untrue comment about me and I simply corrected you?

You called me argumentative yet you are the one you has engaged me in conversation twice with confrontational, antagonising posts?

So, seen as we're having this little discussion where I am questioning your outrageous belief that 95% of Blackburn fans are scumbags, why can't you answer it?

I just find it hard to believe that many City fans who have experienced the high and the lows (on a regular basis) will give you the respect you want from them when you have labelled pretty much the entire fanbase, of a club you claim to have loyally supported for decades, as scumbags, and decided to switch allegiances.

SJK would it not be better to take your personal dual with Vijay to the PM section.
Like I moved our discussion to PM but you have continued it on here?

Accepting some irony, I will stop the 'discussion' here, the PM button is there for a reason.

Fudgey baby, You need to go and sit in front of a mirror and repeat until it sinks in "I must stop being over sensitive as after all it only a forum"

I don't know how anyone can still feel the same passion when they change allegiances.

I'm assuming most people that do change their team are 'fans' that never go to the stadium to watch a live match and instead either watch the game on television or wait for the highlights on Match of the Day.

Being in the stadium is what first builds that excitement for football and for the club.

I could never support another team like I support City. The passion wouldn't be there and I don't know how people can just suddenly change, even if they aren't necessarily 'glory hunting'.

I can understand if someone moved a long distance to another town that they might get interested in a team from that area.

That's understandable, but I don't know how they could just stop supporting their previous team and follow the new one instead.

I bet you he's sending a picture message "Where were they at York away" :p

i could not give a damn about 'new supporters' whether they might be consider glory hunters or glory chasers.

Within the UK, there are masses of areas and 10's of millions of people who have no recognisable football side to support and no obvious clubs to choose through family connections. Overseas, apart from the obvious high profile footballing countries, the issue is multiplied hugely - especially in the middle/far east and Australasias etc.

The likes of United and Liverpool have seen their world wide popularity grow over the last 20/30 years due to their individual significant periods of success. Whilst Liverpool have had fuck all to should about since the Hanson era, the following their picked up from around the UK and the world was sodding huge, even allowing for the very limited ability access (no internet, no Sky etc etc).

City have become the most talked about footballing side, in terms of the speed of growth and awareness, in over 20 years. The money, the FA Cup and Title have propelled us to those kinds of levels that the likes of the rag cnuts have been aware of for 20 years. All of our games are sold out to the home fans - and it looks like our away games will attract full houses from the locals and certainly our away allocation. If City sustain a reasonable level of success in the next 2/3 seasons, it will carry on and likely to see supporters clubs sprouting up in the likes of Tonga, Bali & the Seychelles!

we can't all have been born within spitting distance of Maine Road and not all of our Dads and grand dads supported City all their lives. I welcome support from wherever it comes, even if it means that support has no interest in City and its history but more about coming to watch the likes of Silva & Balotelli or buying the latest piece of City Store crap that they shove out. A lot of them won't care about the likes of Francis Lee, Summerbee etc and won't have the appreciation of the rivalry we have - on a level playing field - we now have with the rags. They will carry on buying those stupid fucking half and half scarfs on match day with City and the opponents and get all the words wrong when singing the city songs.

Plans must be afoot to expand the Etihad to 60,000+ and the chances are that the next 15,000 seat holders will be sold to those that Maine Road is a place somewhere in South Manchester and english is their third language.

I've no idea about plans to expand, to me safe standing is a better idea to increase capacity for now, but if new seats became available I'd like to think they did go to people, like me, who went to Maine Road once upon a time and make it to the games they can, and missed out on season tickets last year because they sold so fast. I gave up my own ticket at the end of the Sven season, for financial reasons more than anything else (I'd have loved to have kept it on, especially knowing what followed), I have a young family and a low wage.

If 15000 seats are to be created, which is an estimate at best, then I'd like them to be priced at a cost people like me, and I know I am not alone, can afford.

If 15000 glory hunters turn up and nick them, that'd be pretty annoying.

I dont care about glory hunters just as long as real city fans get tickets to the important games like cup finals, and then secondly, they should be banned from the stadium if they start singing nursery rhymes or bringing signs like the infamous champ20ns 'supporters' down at the swamp.

can't be many or the viagogo tickets for Arsenal would have sold whatever the price by now.

Yes this viagogo ticket place intrigues me.I have a season ticket but miss a lot of games due to work.I put my ticket for sale for the Southampton and QPR game but in spite of both games being sold out i didn't sell either.I think a lot of Blue's haven't joined it as i can only sell to Blue card members,or we overestimate our potential match supporters numbers.

yh and you can't sell at face value or you lose money due to sellers fees, so if you put people's up for sale but you don't have hold of the cards you can't stick it on BM as you can't sell at face value but then you get less interest on the ticket exchange.
