Looks Like I was Right

"Like, I was over in England. You ever been to England, anyone, been to England? No one has handguns in England, not even the cops. True or false?

True. Now-in England last year, they had fourteen deaths from handguns. Fourteen. Now-the United States, and I think you know how we feel about handguns-woooo, I'm getting a warm tingly feeling just saying the word, to be honest with you. I swear to you, I am hard. Twenty-three thousand deaths from handguns.

Now let's go through those numbers again, because they're a little baffling at first glance. England, where no one has guns, fourteen deaths. United States, and I think you know how we feel about guns-woooo, I'm getting a stiffy-twenty-three thousand deaths from handguns.

But there's no connection, and you'd be a fool and a Communist to make one. There's no connection between having a gun and shooting someone with it, and not having a gun and not shooting someone. There have been studies made and there is no connection at all there. Yes. That's absolute proof. You know, fourteen deaths from handguns. Probably American tourists, too."

The gat protects. If more people in that cinema were packing then there would be a much lower body count.

What if someone in the back row has a gun, decides to shoot at the person who he thinks is the shooter, could end up doubling the count instead of halving it.

no guns = no shootings.

More guns = more shootings.

Classic Bill Hicks - and the figure in the U.S. last year was in excess of 31,000 'gun' deaths.
The only advantage to widespread gun ownership over here is that there's a chance that a few nutters could kill more easily some of our political leaders. Sadly, the collateral damage isn't worth the liberalisation process :-)

This **** in Colorado threw tear gas into the cinema before shooting. How would it lower the body count if everyone in there had guns and started shooting if they can't see anything?

The world needs people like you cos some of the nonsense you write on here makes me feel so much better about myself!

Haha Americans. Just been a mass shooting so what's the answer? Yep in the land of the free and home of the brave the answer is more guns.

Saw a Yank talking about the massacre and he said he would be going armed to the 'movies' from now on. Jesus wept. How shit scared of your own shadow that you fell the need to have a fucking gun with you when watching a film.
