Again, you'll have confused a lot of the younger BM'ers. Just play safe from now on and don't mention C90 cassette tapes!
i've got hundreds of them, each with two albums on them from when i spent a lonely easter vacation living next door to a record library
1978's version of illegal downloading
Sunday evenings listening to the top 40 on radio 1, waiting for the song you want to come around, then trying to tape it without catching any of the inane ramblings of whichever DJ was presenting it; those were the days. Young 'uns these days don't realise what they missed out on!
Peter Kay?

First VU song I heard and still one of my favourites.

First song written by Lou Reed other than Walk on the Wild Side I heard.

An unknown Lou Reed was the reason "Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars" happened.

Then a successful Bowie/Ronson produced "Transformer" which introduced Lou Reed to me in 1973....

I was 15ish and what an iconic album with the famous song "Perfect Day", a song all about scoring drugs......(no shit Sherlock)

Liver failure due to 71 years of a rock n roll lifestyle took it's toll, many thanks for the memories, and lasting music, please take a walk on the peaceful side.

Lyrics to my favourite Lou song Waiting For the Man:

I'm waiting for my man
Got 26 dollars in my hand
Up to Lexington 125
feelin' sick and dirty
for a day and a life
Huh, I'm waiting for my man

Hey white boy, what you doin' uptown
Hey white boy, you chasin' my women around
Pardon me sir, it's furthest from my mind
I'm just waitin' for a dear-dear friend of mine
I'm waiting for my man, come on

Here he comes, he's all dressed in black
PR shoes and a big straw hat
He's never early, he's always late
first thing you learn is that you always gotta wait
I'm waiting for my man

Up to a brownstone, up three flights of stairs
Everybody's pinned you and nobody cares
He's got the works, gives you sweet taste
then you gotta split because you got no time to waste
I'm waiting for my man

Hey baby, don't you holler, don't you ball and shout
I'm feeling good, I'm gonna work it on out
I'm feeling good, feeling so fine
until tomorrow, but that's just some other time
I'm waiting for my man
I'm waiting for my man
I'm waiting for my man
man-man-man-man-man-man-man

RIP!!

Mid seventies-early eighties, so probably the likes of DLT, Andy Reeves, Gary Davies and Kid Jensen.
