Louis Theroux’s Altered States

Louis should have taken him to that food party with him...

That or take a trip to the local brothel, instead of sat there moaning about being lonely and saying the opportunity for physical contact hasn't presented itself. His woman of a wife would miraculously be attracted to him again if he was going out getting laid.

If we were to put a woman in Jerry's situation there would be far more sympathy for her(toxic masculinity?), not blame as the other three are attempting to do, who knew they were lying to themselves about that(how many vacant stares, as they heard the words come out of their own mouths?). Saying "be someone else Jerry" is not really an answer, from the brief glimpse we've had it appears he's not got the social skills or the confidence to go out and do those things, that's not something Jerry can acquire with an "inspirational quote" on some hipsters facebook page. He's not suited to that lifestyle and he doesn't really want to share his wife but has been forced into cuckoldry by his wife.

As I said he is complicit though, he should just leave her and avoid the long, drawn out, more painful separation, if not he's either heading for a breakdown or maybe worse(hope not). Why does he even like her? She's not a nice person at all, is the nicest way to put it. Also Jerry and Joe's wife are both as much in denial about what's probably going to happen, what does she think will happen when Jerry is out of the picture?

Joes wife probably isn't happy having to accept another woman into her home but she just looks glad she doesn't have to sleep with that fat slob anymore.
Louis could have had her anytime he wanted...

That Jerry is one of the most pathetic men I've ever seen. The definition of a cuckold.

His wife is 110% gonna run off with Joe at some point. She is a very manipulative woman, hiding behind the studious look.

The awkwardness of Theroux really makes people open up, they should use him as an interrogator, great at his job.
I think that's a bit harsh. He's not pathetic; he's just massively in love with her (god knows why, but he is). He's faced with an awful choice; indulge her polyamory or lose her for kid.

Easy to say he should get rid of her just because that's what we would do if our partners tried it; everyone loves differently.

Watched episode two last night, Choosing death, pretty sad watch.

So in America there's seven states which has the End of life act, You are basically given a medication (death cocktail as some say) if you only have 6 months to live. They still have to be of sound mind and administer the drug themselves when they want to end it.

Must admit I did have a tear in my eye watching this.
