Got home and had a massive row with a female flat mate who said “it’s only a game”.City broke my heart that night. Went to a high flying Newcastle in the previous round and won 0-2. My old man promised me we’d beat Palace and were on our way to Wembley so went to the game so excited.

Not as I remember it, first game after Kendall departure Everton following numbered in dozens. If I'm wrong nust be down to senility.If memory serves me correct that was the game the following season we won 1-0. It was probably Evertons first away game and they brought thousands almost filling the Platt Lane end. Probably 5/6k.
