lowest points total at this stage since 2007/8...

So we sack Pellers, bring someone (who?) in and the players still deliver the same shit for the next 9 games and we still don't get top 4 and look like twats for sacking a guy 9 games before he was leaving anyway.

We literally just have to hope the players find some form and the returning midfielders give us a boost and we go on a run like after the Derby last season.

I agree,it's like Newcastle sticking with McClaren in the hope fortunes turn around. The chances of that we're very slim so action was taken and a better manager has come in. Its the same with Pellegrini,the chances are he won't all of a sudden become an inspiration to our players and a master tactician. We are a sinking ship under him.

I am genuinely scared of not getting Top 4.

According to Tolm Pep hasn't signed anything, so what's to stop him from just walking away?

Seriously. Because I don't think Pep will be too impressed by a club that probably made promises about us being in the CL that ends up in the Europa League. . .

I think Pep would look very silly walking away from us if we fail to make the top 4. Player targets would have to be revised no matter what some say on here.

Just for starters, Pelligrini against Norwich one of the worst teams in the league decides to play our two fullbacks that are cant or dont seem able to get a ball in the box. against Leicester the fastest most mobile team in the league he plays Kolarov our slowest and worst defencive fullback and Demichelis or oldest and slowest defenders. All over the pitch Pelligrini is making piss poor team selects and system selections.

the performances by this team both this season and most of last have been horrendous, one premiership in 3 three year this this squad is a massive under achievement.

The sooner he Pelligrini goes hopefully the sooner we dont have to rely on individual brilliance to save or win us points and the sooner we see brilliant flowing football played again by this squad

If you are right and it is under the condition we have Champions league football,then I've no idea why the hierarchy haven't pulled the trigger a long time ago. It wouldn't be the first huge error that has been made since the takeover.
 
So he's been announced as a next manager for next year yet hasn't signed on the dotted line?

This is what I'm wondering.

But, if (as @tolmie's hairdoo postulates) Pep hasn't signed anything why would he turn up here if things aren't as he expected?
 
I've been more disappointed in City in the last two Premier League seasons than I ever was when we were crap.
 
Would this be typical city if we are led to believe that pep hasn't signed anything,and could have second thoughts if champions league isn't guaranteed..

There is so much work to be done it's not going to be as he had envisioned anyway. It will be his biggest challenge in management by a long way regardless of top 4, he will want to succeed here to cement his place as the greatest manager of all time.

But how could he do that if we aren't even in the competition that he and others -including our owners- (for some reason) value above all others!?

Basically, all I'm saying, is that it's insanely irresponsible of the club to allow Pellegrini to continue. For our own sake.

It won't be ideal,but part of his challenge would be to get us back into the Champions League and go from there. I'm of the same opinion, Pellegrini should have been sacked last summer and having failed to pull the trigger then he should have been shown the door before Christmas. It's baffling that the hierarchy have allowed it to get to this stage,it really is.
