Lucas Paqueta investigated by FA for alleged betting breaches

Yes, and I don't think a stopgap solution will be the answer. I don't think Rodri will have told Pep anything he didn't know already. In fact, I'd go as far as to say Pep probably agonised all last season over using Rodri so much. It all comes back to Phillips not being an adequate replacement. He is the most like-for-like in that position and his complete failure to make the grade has created this problem. I suspect Kovacic can do a bit in that role, but it comes down to Phillips. We either trust him to make the grade or look for a replacement.

With this in mind, I cling to the forlorn hope that City are the mystery bidder in for Caicedo, that Mitoma was just press speculation because they got wind of the fact we're dealing with Brighton, and that Chelsea's pursuit of Lavia is as a result of Bloom accepting our bid. Wishful thinking, but you never know.
You had me at "wishful thinking but you never know".

Tolmie responded to Ric, saying "Same here!", in response to "I seriously doubt that we're in for Caicedo, sadly"
And that's your proof?

If they said they reckoned Bigfoot might be real, you'd stake your life on it too?

Mate, they both expressed opinions, which you've re-spun as proof, which it isn't.

Now please show me your concrete proof to backup your claim, or I'll happily accept your claim is just your personal opinion, & not the empirical fact you're making it out to be.

So you have no proof to backup your claim then?

Also, there were zero reports of our interest in Gomez & Akanji, but they're here.

We also had concrete reports of Bellingham & Rice to City, but neither are here.

So again, do you have any concrete proof to backup your claim?

A bit heavy handed. Of course he doesn't, nobody here does. That's not really how this game is played, you already know that.

Tolmie, based on the quoted posts above. He is our most reliable ITK.
Besides, there are zero links out there between us and Caicedo.
Tolmie gets solid information via his press/agent connections but I for one believe our club also uses said connections to create distracting noise.

If we are in for Caicedo we are not going to broadcast it, with Chelsea in the hunt, thats creates a crazy auction and the price would be stupid.

We have history with that and Cucurela, our club is in good hands, I have a sneaky we have been looking at the wrong Brighton player as fans believing the Mitimoa rumours..

I was going to say this yeaterday, but it is even more true now. Whatever happens, the pace of this has been something else.

I know Tolmie mentioned it like 6 days ago, but from it breaking in the mainstream yesterday, we've ticked off most of the usual cliché milestones in less than 24 hours.

We've already had: strong interest, City will push, player wants move, WH won't consider it below x, has release clause, would consider it for around release clause value, player's had has turned, Pep has been a long term admirer, WH may not be able to keep him, interest in Palmer as part of the deal, player may not feature in opening game, WH would like to conclude this quickly.

That's like 4 weeks worth of transfer tango all crammed into the space of 24 hours.

Exactly how transfers should be conducted, instead of all the pissing around...................if it happens now of course that is
