Yeah its gotten crazy down there since covid. Next time rent a car and drive from Cancun to Merida and go to the beaches there. A fraction of the tourists, one of the lovliest cities in Mexico, and relatively empty pristine beaches. Alsot cenotes all around the area, caused by the meteor that killed our old dino pals.
