Lucas Paqueta investigated by FA for alleged betting breaches

Totally agree with this point. You could tell last night that on the right we didn't appear to have the option of sliding the ball through to a pacey winger.

We scored a goal when Walker went on his run and possibly would have created a chance of he hadn't been hacked down. But against the bigger teams pep won't want Walker out of position too often as it leaves us exposed on the counter.
Good points guys! I like Palmer and hope its a loan or buy back for him. Doku offers something different - raw pace and right footed. We haven't had that for some time and its a perfect (and different) option for crosses to Haaland. Much as others might like it, it doesn't make sense to offer Phillips into the Paqueta deal as we haven't got another experienced DM in the squad. He's nowhere near Rodri in terms of ability but he's worth another season in the squad to see if he can improve.

Genuine question to the more informed, is Paqueta instead of Wirtz or a different player/position, and who is likely the best?
I would see no reason we couldn't end up with a Paqueta for Gundo/SIlva and Wirtz for KDB eventually when replacing the 'aging' players in squad evolution tbh. Dont think its an either or 100%

(Im not counting Foden this as he's 22 and doesn't need replacing just in the lose one, get one)

Stones can play as a DM and would be a very reliable option.
