Lucas Paqueta investigated by FA for alleged betting breaches

This is way worse than Toney. This is literally spot fixing I fully expect him to be banned for at least 3 years minimum. Toney didn’t bet in games he was involved in but was punished as footballers aren’t aloud to bet period.
 
Sounds like spot fixing and a lengthy ban. Is there a similar case to compare to in football? Closest thing I can think of are the Pakistanis bowlers bowling no balls.

Toney bet against his own team to lose, in matches he did not play in.
 
TH said we have been aware of this since Tuesday....therefore we have had Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and today before the news broke to react to it behind closed doors and decide what to do about it....Im sure we plan well ahead (months even seasons ahead) BUT we have to react to it...if we go with what we have we will struggle a little more than usual.

I'm confident that it will be shown Sullivan & Silkman knew about the charges from the start of transfer negotiations. The FA investigation has been in process for months and the club and player would have been notified as soon as it officially began. The "Confidential" smokescreen is a sure sign.
