If we were in the shape now that we'd been it at the end of 17/18 then he would actually be a good transfer. On the decline yes, but still there's enough quality to push Aguero and Jesus and keep them on their toes and we wouldn't have a situation like we've just had with only one available striker. The squad would be strong and hungry enough for his age not to be an issue. He'd fit in our system like a glove. Plus he'd be another 25 goal a season striker we can bemoan for not being clinical enough.

Now though, no thank you. We need either absolute star quality in their best years or fresh legs, and he's nowhere near either.
