Luka Modric

Handed in a transfer request, according to Twitter that is, so it's probably bollocks, but you never know!

Chelsea bound?

No place at City for him no matter what angle i look at it from.

Would like to see consistancy from him thogh. When he is poor he is very poor and this is happeneing in 50% of the Spurs matches i have seen last season.

Depends what our other targets are TBF. Would much prefer Martinez next to Yaya. Martinez can give us cover at the back and allows us to sell DeJong and Barry release Hargreaves and Pizzaro. Now that's a massive saving in wages and also gives us cover at CB. That would leave us with Milner, Yaya, Zab and Martinez for the 2 positions infront of the back 4. Would much prefer a creative player like Goetze or Hazard as they can play out wide.
FFS, yea lets sale Barry our most consistent player this season. What people fail to realise is that people like Barry are priceless. Along with Zabba & Milner, you need unselfish players to win things. And we got a championship team already and people like you want to sell half the team and bring in worldclass players instead of our spine smfh....I agree that we need a few signings but to deminsh the importance of Barry is disrespectful in my opinion. Without Barry we woulden´t win the title and Yaya is not Yaya with Gazbaz and he´s english.

If they would not sell Modric to Chelsea for £40,000,000 last transfer window then what makes you think that Luka will cost any less than that? They are more likely to want an additional £10,000,000 from us for his services.

If I was City then negotiating with Levy would be a no go zone for me. I think he is a prick of the highest order!

we do need a central midfielder. barry can't carry the can for prem and CL. dejong is only a defensive midfielder, not part of a 2. and arguably we need better than barry in CL. Whether modric is that player (and at the price they'll try for too) is another Q

Definitely not 50% although I did get the impression that he wasn't too interested in playing for us anymore so wasn't providing his best effort.

I think we'll sell him, keep Bale though. Supposedly Madrid are most interested. I would hope we could make Sahin part of the deal with them. Levy will probably say he's not for sale in an attempt to drive the price up.
