Lukaku??

This player completely unnecessary in team, and thus competition between strikers very large. I thisnk to leave the current strikers because problem is not.

Wonder if Lukaku will prefer Jose or Romans lined up replacement for Jose should he not win a title. Lukaku is exactly the kind of striker Simeone likes.

Jose is a dick. Lukaku has stated repeatedly his devotion to Chelsea, willing to go on loan to remain at the club. Attacking him will just annoy the Chelsea supporters and Lukaku himself.

The interview with him on Football Focus was quite interesting. Seems an ambitious player, but I can't see him returning to Chelsea in a hurry.

Absolutely fantastic striker, similar to Drogba but performing as well as Drogba was at 25 when he's only 20. I'd welcome him at City either in January or next summer. When Dzeko goes he could deputise for either Aguero or Negredo and is strong enough to play as a lone striker when needed. He'd also learn a hell of a lot from someone like Negredo, I'm sure his attitude is such that he is a player who gives his all, unlike Adebayor and Dzeko and will take his chances with us if we signed him.

We do need three strikers if they have complimentary talents when playing weekend and midweek. If the players can put in the effort then they can all fit in. Obviously we still haven't seen if Jovetic can provide this for us, but I think he will be more of a Nasri alternative and play as a striker if either Aguero or Negredo are to be rested. We all know we have a drop off in performance when the first eleven aren't picked, and this is something we have to rectify. Lukaku is one of the players around who is the right age and can give us a slightly different option up front without disrupting how the team plays. He's explosively quick and strong and can link up well with the quicker players we have.

I totally agree with this, good sumation. I also noticed in one of his interviews it says he's currently living in Manchester? Could be handy if he's already scoped out the two restaurants we have :P
