I hope you're right, if Dzeko is to move on (and Jovetic can't give us the games) then we need a young powerful striker who'd thrive playing for Pellegrini, and the service from Silva and Navas. He also doesn't seem to be injured for long periods like our forwards !

Lukaku would be a good replacement for Dzeko - strong, direct and an excellent physical presence - certainly give us something different and Jovetic, Silva and Aguero could all play off him. Would cast a doubt over Negredo if he came in.

He's not yet good enough to be a week in week out starter. And I don't think he's prepared to play the squad game.

So can't see it happening.

I don't think we need him, his link up play is dire, and his finishing isn't amazing, but is a beast and unstoppable sometimes. May as well give guidetti a go tbh, can't be any worse than dzeko.

This will be the same Lukaku who has missed 2/3 months this season with injury????
