Luton Town (A) | FA Cup | Post Match Thread

Different gravy! stated someone above.

Nobody can play the John Stones role except Johnny, Johnny Stones, for now, until Pep clones some other lad.

But, Ortega can play the Ederson role, blunders and all.

Get In!!

Great result tonight, real pleasure to watch, well done to everyone down there. As an FOC, theres’s a bit of symbiotic revenge, a 6-2 win against Luton and the result actually stands…. Not enough to attone for Pleat’s beige suit mind… strange how there’s hardly any media mention of Haaland equalling Law’s record for a single FA cup game for City , although they mentioned Best scoring 6.

He didn't, even the City site says law got 6 in an abandoned game so they didn't count.

I don't really care, but that was plainly wrong, it's not at his discretion.
It's exactly that, who else do you think decides how many time to add??

Match was decided, no goal difference to play for and I guess all players involved were happy to stop.
Best move of tonight's wrestling ref!

It's not right though, there are people betting on outcomes of games (I'm not one of them).

I'm sure the players were happy, no chance of injury etc, but that's not the point, the rules being ignored are.

Obviously nobody will make anything of it, but it's simply not in his remit to add no time at all.

So who's remit is it in then? it is totally in his remit! he is the referee! he can add on as many minutes as he wants to

No he can't, he should be adding time for goals and subs, and any other stoppages, they're the rules.

Personally I couldn't give a shit at 6-2 up, but what happens on Sunday in the derby, at 1-1, with City pressing, is that also up to the referee to give no added time ?
