Luton Town (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

Well if you don’t enjoy the other games you get to ,don’t go. Problem solved.
Will follow the Blues everywhere (think there is a song in there somewhere) and didn't say I don't enjoy other away games - just enjoyed today more than others...

Can you think of anything that has gone against the dippers except that one? How many have they benefited from? Same for United! How about Arsenal, injury time maybe? We are continually refereed differently to these, end of story and stop being a complete and utter prick.

Can you think of two that benefitted each of them that were clearly bad decisions so far this season, that’s the question you asked me about us?

There’s no need to get abusive purely because I’ve got the opinion that the refereeing has been incompetent across the board and not buying into a conspiracy that actually it’s all against us. You only had to see the game after ours to see just as poor a decision not given as the one in our game and for pretty identical challenges too.

I agree with you but family who support Utd think the refs are against them, mate at work supports Liverpool is convinced the whole system is set up just to fuck them over n my cousin n another friend who both support Arsenal are adamant that City get all the favourable decisions. What is the truth beyond our own bias as fans? I'm not sure as I was sure these fuckers are out to fuck us over but fans of these other teams would have you believe it's the other way around.

Got the win. Deserved the win.

As usual their first serious attempt on goal was in fact a goal. For me this is the new “typical City”. How often this has happened. Unreal.

What else is there to say, other than maybe we don’t play our best form yet, but tbf hasn’t really gone our way as it has with many of our rivals.

Beat Palace. And we will still be there and around battling for top position.

Stop worrying

On a side note I get the feeling the refs are going to be looking out for Rodri. They'd be happy for the odd yellow to pile up and get another ban.
I just wish he'd restrain himself a little. Some of his yellows are harsh but just don't give the refs the option.
He definitely seems to be penalised most.
Bernardo and Alvarez pull back players a lot but seem to avoid yellows

Thing is you only need to watch other games to see how poor the decisions are across the board.

The truth is, as has been said already, they are consistently inconsistent at the mo. That will always happen to a certain extent as the laws are designed to be subjective - a referee doing his job brilliantly doesn’t ref every game the exact same. The issue currently is they aren’t even consistent within game and also getting too many big decisions clearly wrong in the VAR booth, which is a lot more unforgiveable than on pitch.
