I'm fairly certain Bernardo will be playing central as I doubt any of our defenders will be stepping in to midfield so we'll need him in there. It's not the most creative midfield but I think that's what Pep will go with. Our best hope for goals lies with Alvarez, Foden, Bernardo and Rodri or maybe Ake from a set-piece.

A possibility but I see it being grealish left Bernardo right foden behind alvarez with rodri and kovacic central. Bernardo will drift central from the right for an extra man.

I wonder if we'll see a return to the formation we were using earlier in the season with Walker pushing up high allowing Foden to drift inside a lot more and basically play as a number 10.

It probably wouldn't work against better sides as Walker doesn't offer much in an attacking sense and we'd get exposed defensively but this could be the right game for it especially with the lack of creativity in midfield.

I know we normally don’t do any transfers in January but that squad is wafer thin. We need players.

We will need to sell to buy players. Could buy 1 without selling.
