I agree. We're on a great 24/25 match unbeaten run at the moment, more than double that with Rodri in the side, so he has to start every game until the end of the season. If it pans out that we are very comfortable late on in games, then sub him but not until the 75min mark. He's that important.

Luton will not be easy, they are absolutely fighting for their survival and with that extra 2pt deduction for Everton it gives them more confidence that they can stay up. It would be an amazing achievement if they did and they have a chance.

The next game is always the hardest, the focus should be on this one, not Madrid, and don't ever underestimate the opponent.

But Rodri has to play until the game is beyond doubt
We need him and maybe he can play himself back into form before Real next week
 
Tough to pick a team for this. Fair few that I’d want to rest (Rodri, Grealish, Bernardo, Stones …), but not sure we can afford to leave them all out.

Agreed. Rodri will play the first half and if we secure the points then he'll be subbed after 45. I'd imagine he wants to continue his unbeaten streak as well.

Agree with the team except for Ortega/Ederson and Gomez/KDB.

If Ederson is fit, why not give him match practice? Also, there's no need to rest KDB if he is fit to play. He should play to maintain the form from Palace away.

Bobb in for Haaland is a good option if Haaland isn't fresh. We have 4 days for recovery after Luton, which might be enough for Haaland. But if Haaland is planned to start both vs Real and Chelsea, then Bobb is a great option indeed.
 
Erling needs to play imo as he needs a goal or two as he seems a bit fed up at the minute! Must win game still so i dont see wholesale changes to start with to be honest but if we can get a decent lead then players will be brought off early hopefully. Plus home on saturday and wednesday will help.
