Rag or not, the point is very relevant.
The whole system we employ is tailored to suit Robinho. We would not be playing with this shape if it wasn't the one that suits that one player the best.
So, if you are utilising a system to accommodate your star player then the least we can expect is for that star player to actually start pulling his weight and contributing to the cause a bit more often.
The fact of the matter is that he has been more or less a complete waste of a shirt on our travels and I am convinced that if we had not signed Robinho we would have had more points, away from home at least.
For me, we have another Kinkladze situation here, where our most talented individual ends up being part of the reason for our downfall, because we are manufacturing a team to suit his involvement, whereas he should be altering his game to suit the pattern best suited to the team as a whole.
Mark Hughes has to take the blame for all that but let's not pretend that the Robinho factor is not a major contributory factor to our ills, because it clearly is.
