Bernado will be missed; he has just the right amount of aggression for an away leg. Predict 2-2 draw, but hope for win, obvs.

MUEN saying a defeat tonight would leave us in trouble and we could finish the group in 3rd ....Hoffenheim would need a 10 goal turnaround with us over the next 2 games .....pure click bait from the rag loving paper ...
No, they'd need a 2-0 win or 3-2/4-3 win in the last game with a win tonight. It's head to head.

You don’t know the Champions league rules.

Foden needs to start. It’s nights like this that will help him reach the next level. Even if Ndombele dominates him, he’ll learn so much.

I think we’ll see a front 3 of Sterling, Sané & Mahrez.

Hope Foden gets a run out.

Looking forward to this. I have the feeling we are going to do a premier on them and end up totally thrashing them :)
But no matter I`m certain we have learned from the last game and we won`t make the same mistakes again.
I`d love to see a start for Foden

It's pretty worrying we are concerned about Lyon.. I mean if we are going to win the champions league we are going to have to beat teams far better than Lyon. Hopefully this will be a cake walk. I guess we are rattled because of the earlier loss which should have never happened.
I'm not worried. I've watched the 1st game again and noticed that while we played poorly we we're still a step or 2 more cohesive and better than they were.

They had a few moments, and their press initially bothered us. But we had it under control by the 2nd half.

3-0 or 3-1 will be my prediction. And this assumed they have Fekir fully healthy.

I'm more worried about where to watch the game. :)

Ederson
Walker Stones LaPorte Delphino
Fernadinho
Sterling Foden Silva Sane
Aguero

This.
But - don't kill me - it really should be Mahrez, Phil to get on later.

I struggle to find the words Pep should tell Mahrez why Phil would start...

Mahrez has put in so much defensive qualities too - which I didn't expect - that Pep must be convinced to give the nod to all the experience of Mahrez.

I still vote for Foden to get in step by step. Still 18. His future will be bright.

Maybe the Foden brigade also doesn't rate CL - in total contrast to Pep.
I feel it's a big European night for City!

If we lose it means we have to put out the strongest line up against Hoffenheim during the busiest time of the season when we could be resting players. I think Mahrez will start and if we win to secure first place then Foden will start against Hoffenheim.

Media appear to be putting the pressure on Pep to start Phil but i would be extremely surprised if he starts tonight , he will go with experience and adapt the system to suit , love seeing Foden pull on a blue shirt but he still has to develop and has time on his side , there will be plenty of crunch european games in the future for our boy wonder , patience is a virtue.

Think Aguero will start. He’s rested for two weeks before WH.

Yep, he just looked a little but leggy. I’m sure I read somewhere he was carrying a bit of a knock.

Won’t be surprised to see him sharp as a tac tonight though.
