I can only think of three reasons for owning a Mac.

1. You need/want to use OS X-only software (and there is some superb software around for OS X) BUT don't have the expertise to set yourself up with a hackintosh.
2. You are completely computer illiterate and want to learn how to use a computer through personal support. One-to-One is the best example of this.
3. You are a smug person with more money than sense who wishes to be trendy and therefore wish to identify yourself to your fellow Starbucks frequenters.
1. 2% of Mac users
2. 0.5% of Mac users
3. 97.5% of Mac users

The inverse snobbery which posts like that exhibit makes me laugh...;- ) I'm a Mac owner. Spent years using PC's - bought a mac a couple of years back, and have never looked back. My experience is that since I've bought my Mac I've had zero computer problems - whereas when I was using window's based laptops I was constantly having problems with them.

I've found that Mac's will do everything my PC did faster, and more efficiently.

I don't consider myself trendy and I despise people who drink coffee from Starbucks...

My PC was always falling over. My Mac has never fallen over.

Have you heard of GNU/Linux at all?

Which programs do you use to make your computer use more efficient? Also, what's your reason for not using a hackintosh rather than an actual Mac?

By the way, for my own amusement, I thought I'd post this from a Snow Leopard virtual machine running in VMWare on Windows 7 and AMD hardware.

Yeah, yeah, yeah...

LOL. You've never struck as someone who would be so petty about my choice of computer...
