I'll definitely be having a pint or two in it when I'm in NYC next year!

bit off topic but how much would you expect to pay for a pint in New York?

I think around £4 ($6 - $6.50).
There were three of us in the Mad Hatter Saturday and we all had a meal each and maybe at least 5 pints x 2 and 4 Bacardi / cokes (and I had a whiskey to top the night off too).
Cost was $103 - £66, so £22 each for a meal and drinks!
and a free beer glass as well!

edit - looking at the drinks we had and the meal being around $11 each, I think maybe they missed a round off the bill ;)

Everyone knows The Mad Hatter is a great City pub here in NY City. They have a message board. Its small and doesnt get a lot of traffic but there are some sound guys on there. I tried to get back on it and it comes up as "ACCOUNT SUSPENDED". Anyone know whats going on?

The Mad Hatter website is down. The bar is as open as ever. In fact, anyoe in NYC for the Charity Shield should join us for the match

Yeah, we bought a T-shirt each when we were there in November.

They're great and very warm too!

Phill, you likely got a buy-back. SOP in NYC bars, where the 4th (sometimes 3rd) round is "bought" for you by the waitress / bartender who expects $1+ tip per drink if you're at the bar, 15-20% if you're at a table. Won't happen in chain/trendy/tourist traps but 'tis the expected norm most places. You'll reckon to pay $6.50-$7 for a US pint (16oz). 20oz "proper" pint rarer than hen's teeth these days, most often in proper Irish bars but even then just for Guiness. Happy hour 'til 7pm not uncommon. Buy back is illegal (cough) in Massachusetts.

Frank. Myself, BJ and Eric all have same problems mate. I text BJ earlier and he has contacted Jonesey about the problem. He is going to contact the woman who designed the site, that's all i know.

What BMR saıd. I contacted Jonesey and he saıd he would contact the woman who set the sıte up to fınd out what was goıng on. However, that was nearly 3 weeks ago and nothıng`s happened sınce. As Frank and Grand Solo are goıng ın there shortly, I suggest they ask the manager what the fuck`s goıng on.......

I was in the Mad Hatter this April whilst on holiday in NYC.
It really is a crackin boozer. Loads of City related stuff all over the place. City shirts hung up behind the bar, a great big City flag on the ceiling, and some great framed pictures all over the walls.
The food is decent, and the ale is reasonably priced (For New York)

I was in the hatter yesterday. The site will be back up in a week or so, maybe sooner. Sunday, the bar will be open for kickoff with food and drinks readily available. 8:30AM start so any Mancs coming over, you get a taste of what we endure when it comes to early kickoff. You will be well tipsy by 9:30AM

I heard that place closed this year.
