Madrid Travel

We are going direct from Stansted Tues returning to Stansted Thursday £300 each!

Yeah, it’s probably more relevant to you going off your name. I’m in Manchester but always look at flights from Edinburgh first if there’s nothing affordable, direct from Ringway.

Got a regular little routine going now, popping up there the day before a flight and staying in the same hotel, not far from the airport.

Not really sure why it would be, other than coincidence, but it seems to be a regular thing that there’s good, cheap flights going but not coming back.
 
I was hoping to go to this but no day trip means a non starter for me as I have to be back for Thursday morning.

Aside from that, the fact its 2 weeks today till the game and no ticket details have been announced is shite if not unsurprising. I assume this is on Madrid rather than City (but who knows). Given I believe there usually paper tickets for Real with your name on, getting them sold and sent in time before people start flying out feels like is going end up causing problems

Doing our own Spanish trip in Manchester instead

Tapas at either Evuna, El Negro, Tast, La Bandera and then a few pubs and watch it in some place
 
Would love to go to this but still nothing from club in regards to ticket sales! Ridiculous tbh. Haven’t booked flights as don’t want to risk it without tickets etc

Evuna was shite last time I went. And have something to eat before you go to Tast, or take loads of ££

Back via Birmingham on the Thurs.
Just waiting for ticket details now, no rush only two weeks away...

So looking at last year. The draw was 15th March and ticket info was published by City on 21st March for a 9th April game.

This year the draw was last Friday so I’m expecting some news tomorrow, based on being same as last year’s timescales.

The turnaround to sell tickets is a week shorter though this time - they’re going to have to shift 4000 tickets over this weekend then get them all posted middle of next week for delivery back end of next week/Monday the week after. For those flying Monday 17th it will be squeaky bum time for sure!

Do the waiting staff at Tast pass your meals from side to side, back to the kitchen, back to the serving staff, who eventually deliver it to the table just in front of you?

Where has that information come from? I haven’t seen anything on official or non-official sites requesting statement of interest.

Please could you elaborate as I know plenty of fans who would be interested. We’ve just not been asked - as far as I’m aware.

No problem at all!



This is the information we get from the club directly. They believe that with a combination of it being such a quick turn around and the location of the trip, the demand wouldn’t be enough.



The last thing we ever want to do is have to cancel due to lack of numbers, so I believe it has been an educated guess this time.



This won’t be something that will happen often, however unfortunately that has been the decision for this trip. We hope to welcome you again on another trip in the future.

Went to Madrid with sports options last year flight only - direct flight Manchester to Madrid direct return. Flights then pretty good 8am out and back midday the next day. Booking.com accommodation etc overnight. If they get enough interest they will do it for this game. Will be £389 pp flight only - Register interest sales@sportoptions.com

Yep. Then someone on the table complains about the patatas bravas saying that they’re shit, we should never have bought them and should’ve got chips instead.
