The more I see of the hatred the more I love her.
I knew she hurt the loony left, the cadgers and the bone idle but didn't realise quite how much.

It must be hard for them seeing the height of the esteem she's still held in.

I hated Thatcher then and still do.

Worked since the day I left school at 16 now 62, made redundant 4 times but never claimed or received a penny in benefits, member of the NGA printing union for 17 year owned my own business for the last 30 years, never voted for the communist party, voted for Margaret Thatcher in 1979, but never again, sick to the back teeth of subsidising the feckless work shy and the tax evading c**ts on the rich list, politicians who claim expenses and receive cash for questions, multi-nationals that are allowed to pay next to nothing in tax, making it even harder for local business`s to operate and compete.

i`m sick to the back teeth of the lack of investment and absolutely shit top management and directors, governments that wanted to get rid of the manufacturing base, the culture of greed in the banking sector, and the rest of these parasites that produce nothing but look down on those that do. the selling off of our national; assets only to see them now owned by foreign companies.

you need a smaller brush bill and a bigger shovel

In short the UK was shit at manufacturing, nobody wanted our coal, it cost the taxpayer to keep running these industries which weren't doing well. We now have an amazing service and IT industry as a result which is constantly evolving bleeding with innovation.

Do you really think we could compete with China and India given their stupidly low costs and cheap labour?

in short you`re a troll

I do find this whole notion that because we'd become shit at making stuff in the 60's and 70's (for a whole host of reasons) that as a nation we should just have pathetically thrown in the towel in that regard, as we pretty much did.

There were lots of compelling reasons why that approach was short-sighted, simplistic and utterly fucking spineless.

We could, quite conceivably, become good at making stuff again if someone in a position to influence these things had shown a bit of vision and self-confidence.

Perhaps Thatcher wasn't quite as resilient as her acolytes would have us believe.

I know it's oldish news but I've noticed the sycophants haven't mentioned it yet, oddly enough.

Another plus point for me.

Well done on avoiding yet another state theft and perfectly legally. Not sure you understand the difference between avoidance and evasion.

Perfectly legal I agree, but morally repugnant.

I always wondered why she introduced capital market liberalisation.

I don't think it's possible to use the 'moral' and Thatcher in the same breath, anyone who was a friend of paedophiles and covered up for them has no morals at all,Thatcher was a inhuman monster how can any decent person claim Thatcher was a great person,I think most of you Thatcherites are obviously on the wind up surely you cannot be that thick
