i know what happened tonight pissed us all off and shut the site down for half an hour....but they want to get us riled....they want to wind us up....they want us to retaliate....so they can have their childish laugh again

Was anyone else suspicious about that Lenovo_T60 poster earlier today? I'll tell you what gets my antenae twitching:

1. Posters who have just registered.
2. Posters who have hardly ever posted but do so now.
3. Posters who have names like "Blue4eva" "Trueblue" and so on (a little suspicious imo, though obviously not dispositive).
4. Posters who use "massive".
5. Posters who pretend not to know what a "rag" is.
6. Posters who get offended when called a "rag".
7. Posters who pretend not to know what a WUM is when accused of being one.
8. Posters who, in their first few posts actually strike all the right chords...such as the bloke above (Lenovo_T60...best username he could come with up I suppose as he was looking at one at the time)...who "proved" his blueness by calling the rags, "Rags", insulting Bacon face, and so on and so on. It all seemed a little contrived to me. Anyway, his thread seems to have been removed and he's no longer on the member list.

I think it's great you Mods are finally discussing things and acting as a unit. However, what we'd all really like to know is have you've decided on our suggestion of closing registration til after The Window closes?

With the extra mods (who are doing a fantastic job it must be said), there always seems to be two or more hanging around, whereas before it was one person making a quick decision because they were the only ones online.

We won't be looking at closing registration, it's a bit too drastic.

We're looking at some options though, such as a time restriction between when you sign up and when you can create a new topic.

It's all about trying to find what will work best for the forum and also the limitations we have with the technology.
