Though this is now over a week old it seems it is only now getting much attention, as the Iranian government seem ready to harden their crackdown amid growing protests.

It is happening all over the country and to many iranians they feel it is seemingly being ignored/not commented by most nations, maybe because it is an organic revolt by the Iranian people, not manufactured like parts of the arab spring of failed coup atempts in south america.

The country isn’t terrible, just the pricks and their sky fairy that run it. Iran was one of the most liberal countries before the Shah was deposed .
That’s what a meant really, why is it a few people out of billions can make everyone’s life miserable.

Yeah, I get it .
Such a beautiful country ruined by a small band of zealots. My barber is Iranian and we have great chats about the place.
He actually went home in December last year and asked me to look out for him in case he didn’t come back .
How much he was joking, I’m not sure but to see his fears when all he wanted to do was visit his family was quite tough .

Tragic death - they can't arrest all the protestors but the thing is were they to "win" what would replace the current regime? There would need to be a total rethink in that country and it sits in a volatile part of the world and we are already in volatile times - something else to file under "possibly scary shit "

The regiem is only 49 years old, and Iran has never lost some liberal minded people, if a popular internal revolution happened, then the issue would be what reforms to the governance would come about, one thing that would be needed if no American influence or involvement, EU and ASEAN support along side the UN but keep the 3 superpowers out of it

After all at least 35 years of anti-american propoganda has happened and secondly they were the fuckers who put the extremists in power in the first place.

It's time for the ladies to take their hats off and for all the men to support them.

About time women in the Muslim world got wise to being marginalised. The archaic laws of Islam are frankly a disgrace in the modern world. Fair play to these women and those who support them in Iran - I hope it spreads throughout the Muslim lands.
