Maicon

Still nothing from us. It gets a little embarrassing when seven hours after Roma announce it and publish a picture, our site still lists him as a city player.

Good riddance as far as Im concerned, pointless exercise signing him, hopefully the Engineer will be a lot more savvy...We have signed a lot of dross over the last few years, sounds like the clearance is underway ;-))

Traditional OS sign off at the end of every 'What The Media Says' report:

"That’s about it for today, but we’ll be back with more transfer speculation tomorrow morning. Remember, any confirmed deals will appear on mcfc.co.uk first!"

yes well err -

Might be waiting for a work permit. Does he have an EU passport yet?
perhaps - but he was at Inter for many years was he not? It doesn't seem to worried Roma tho'

"While City have yet to confirm Maicon's departure, Roma posted a picture of the 31-year-old on their official Twitter page with the message: "Welcome aboard, Maicon!".

Buy him for £3m play him in 13 matches and get £4m for him. Not such bad business!

Pretty sure it's a free transfer, the "£4m" thing all stemmed from a mistranslation of his wages.

Transfermarkt who are quite reliable also saying free transfer. Plus we seem to have paid him off to leave, about 40% of what he would have earned had he stayed (according to Sky Italy).
