Maicons goal

I once scored a goal when it went in off my bellend, i meant that goal as much as Maicon meant his.

I actually know a lad who scored like that, he was standing infront of the keeper so he couldn't kick it out of his hands but he still tried to do it... ball smashes against cock, ball goes into goal, lad falls into heap through pain, team mates pile on.

Same here, i dropped like a sack of shit and didn't realise i'd scored.

i ve scored about four goals direct from corner kicks in my day....so what!

even in slow replay...it did look as he was striking it full on across the goal,it did look like an accident that it hit the outside of his boot.but i think he meant to drill it...he meant it.

we all have scored goals where you think you are going to thump it into the bottom corner BUT instead it flies into the top corner...ITS PART OF THE GAME!!!

LIKE ronaldinho there was no one near it to be a target... therefore he meant it!

think he meant it, he has a great shooting technique, he fires them in from odd angles all the time, hits it with the outside of his boot on regular basis.

the 'evidence' I think bigga is referring to is the direction of his head when he looks up.... but that's just natural, you would always look that way to see who you can cut it back to from there. there exists such a thing as peripheral vision, fact is, from that camera angle, behind the goalkeeper, we can see maicon's eyes, so he can see the goalkeeper. and you'd expect attacking fullbacks to be able to judge if the goalkeeper's out of position without having to line him up with a plumbline and get the set square out.

See, I wasn't going to respond to this thread any more, but with all due respect, that's a c*ck of a statement!

I can see where you're coming from(ha! Umm...) about the 'peripheral vision' aspect, but unless you've honed the skill over time, you don't usually pull it out in a high pressure game. Ronnie does it all the time, but his action is calculated before he does it and exaggerates the look away.

The look up IN TO the box is clear. The last action of a deliberate shot at the keeper would be at him, how ever brief, so you get your angles right.

The keeper didn't really edge out until he shaped to cross.

The shot is not, I repeat NOT (and you REALLY need to view the video again(for the last time!)) a shot with the outside of the boot.

It's a hammered toe poke.

A hammered toe poke.

One more time...

A hammered toe poke!

I could be wrong but it comes down to the benefit of the doubt. there is no conclusive evidence in that video one way or the other. outside of the boot/toe-poke, same difference to me. he's shown he's capable of it. he has done some astonishing things in big matches before.

you're making quite a big deal about this, can't really understand why.
