Maine Road - 100 years old today!

The late Ian Niven had a picture of the popular side (Kippax) when the 84569 crowd v Stoke was there.

the thrill of getting to the top of the stairs and seeing the pitch, or a night match, started on the white wall around the halfway line , as i got older and started going with mates went to the top next to the away fans, got friendly with lee the groundsman(i used to work with his dad) and got tickets for the maine stand.

i used to go home and away with my mate mike g( rip) we hardly ever missed a game home and away, i remember 2 matches he missed 1 he had to pick up his new car 10-1, 2 he went to a wedding in london 5-1 :) , loved that ground.
