We've dropped countless bollocks over the years. Most bollocks have been at boardroom level. With Khaldhoon's interview being hot-stuff at the moment, it may be time to take stock and highlight some major mistakes from the past which we might be able to learn from and prevent from happening again..

I'll start with a few:

Demolishing the large capacity Platt Lame Stand and replacing it with the far smaller Umbro/Platt Lane Stand.

Allowing the rags to ground share after Uwe's Granddad bombed Old Trafford

Trying to see out the game when we're about to be relegated

Any others worthy of a mention?

Not sure the Platt Lane development can be classed as a mistake (yes, it should have been bigger) as the club had to rebuild it due to the Bradford City fire inquiry. City simply didn't have the money to do anything else with it. On top of that, they also knew they had to demolish the Kippax Terrace too and the further expense that involved too.

Allowing Peter Swales to join the board then become Chairman.

As much as you might hate the old man he was City through and through. Even though he didn't make us bigger than "Stretford Rangers" he certainly tried.

In my time supporting City the biggest mistake was getting rid of Tony Book and replacing him with Malcolm Allison who dismantled a fine team and introduced the likes of Steve Daley.

Allowing Mark Hughes to stay as boss.

Wasted a huge amount of money, stalled our development and put us behind the 8 ball with some ridiculous wages/contracts, which we are only escaping from this year.

Khuldoon should have brought his man in straight away.

Swales always did his best for City with limited resources and broke the transfer record for Trevor Francis, his heart was in the right place and he loved City, far too many blues are ready to slag the guy off and probably are far too young to remember him.

Swales appointing John maddock to do his dirty work for him. A cringe moment, especially after the press conference the three if them made just days before, when maddock said he was looking forward to working with Reid. He fucking well knew what was going to happen. Wasn't he some ex journo too?

One of the biggest mistakes in recent history we should just about be over it this year

Dont see the need to suddenly knock our club at this time to be honest but I'll have my say .
Yes there have been errors but so has every club, ours without doubt has two that stand way above all others.

1, sacking Joe mercer. Now THAT set us back as far as anything could.
2, appointing Alan fucking Ball. That almost sent us under.

Nothing Hughes did, or redevelopment of Maine road or even John Maddox ( good shout though pidge) did comes close to these two errors.
