Man attacked outside Entrance X

Did anyone see what happened to the bloke sparked out before the game near entrance x. Few guys in black were being chased by the police whilst this bloke was laid out. About 10-15 minutes before the game. Hope they were caught and the guy is ok.

Saw it from the turret , my lad clocked the 3/4 Forrest fans coming from the tram stop and give me a nudged and said these are up to something, no sooner had I clocked them then the bloke in black just blindsided a bloke of 55/60 ish minding his own business and just ran off with his mates behind him , the bloke didn’t half crack his head and was lay down for about 15 minutes getting treatment.
The 3 ran off past the main entrance in the townly direction trying to get outside the gates but got caught before the gate. There looked to be someone else nearer the tram stops sat down getting attention too by medics and police do don’t know if they had encountered the pricks too.. proper shitbag move it was , just punch and run,
Not condoning it but whenever I’ve saw trouble In the past at least they give a shout of come on or let’s have it or whatever and have a a bit of a skirmish not just blindside some middle aged bloke near the family stand and leg it. Shitbags

I walk along the main road outside the south stand after every home match and pre lockdown you'd only see trouble against Utd and maybe Liverpool.

Last season it was everyone.

There’s definitely a difference.

I’m no big fan of it but if one drug was partly responsible for turning an otherwise well behaved person to violence it is far and away most likely to be alcohol.

Hopefully the man assaulted is fine, that appears to be the case as I've not seen it reported anywhere except here. On that basis the little shit will be given a suspended sentence and banned from football, unless he has previous.

Utter shitehouse. He wouldn't hit somebody of a similar age because their awareness and fitness would probably mean they might spot it, ride it and fight back. Also at a younger age you're likely to have mates with you to back you up. At the blokes age you would be totally relaxed not thinking you'd be a target of anyone looking for trouble at a match.

I remember the old days when there was occasions other hooligans would get a little reception committee when they had to turn up at court in Manchester. Never so brave then.
