Yep. I've got it. But like all men I'm battling through it. I have only been laid up in bed for 2 days with it so far.

The BM ladies simply won't understand the pain and suffering that man-flu brings. It is a level of pain totally incomprehensible to the fairer sex.

One more day in my pit should crack it.

Without pissing on your chips - I have only had flu once in my life last year. Before that I had had bad colds and felt rough but last year I got real flu. I was literally in bed for ten days and couldn't move and it took me 2 months to get my strength back up.

I have just booked my jab today, can't risk getting that again being asmatic as well.

Ahh but this is 'man-flu' Worsley. It's a hybrid between the common day cold and full on flu.

Interesting you mention asthma though as I used t suffer very badly with it as a kid but not had any episodes for 25 years until Sunday night when I had to use an inhaler for the first time in years as chest tightened and starting panicking.

Keep strong mate, we're with you.

The fairer sex bang on about the pain of giving birth.....nothing compared to man flu...they don't know they're born...

Good man.

On a separate note do you remember the steel works in Irlam? The soap works in Cadishead? Lancashire tar? Air raid shelters in Cadishead county Primary school? The pill boxes near Barton aerodrome? The real train in the park?

60's memories from me living in Cadishead for 6 months.

Haha! The real train in the park that stank of piss. The best thing was Bobs' ferry. I used to think it was a big adventure getting a ferry across the ship canal to Partington.
