Part of the reason Fernandinho gets a red is because KDB couldn't be arsed tracking Willian. At the very least he should have brought him down!

He did try and got booked for his efforts, but it was poor defending.

Can't see any reason KDB gets anything he's getting very sloppy and casual.

Some brilliant moments, but equally, when it comes to the slow and casual, sideways pass to nobody in particular, he's been the worst culprit this season.

He seems to be playing for himself at times and he lost the ball for both lead up to their goals.

I hope he's not thinking he is so much better than everyone else (clearly is) and that is why he is trying to force it.

He has always had a game that is high risk, high reward.

Precisely my thoughts , the players aren't daft and think one or two are not fully bought in whilst we have players playing out of position.
Hopefully a few astute purchases will place everyone where they belong.

Yep. If he had pulled him back properly and taken the booking, the Fernandinho sending off would never have taken place.....

As for the first goal, it looked like Gundogan was pointing and telling Mendy to fuck off out wider left so he could pass the ball to him as Pulisic closed them down.... but no, Mendy ignored that, touched the ball which went past Gundogan (and left him looking like a twat when it wasn't down to him). Pulisic then skipped past Mendy like he wasn't there and finished well.

Both avoidable errors. We were generally toothless up front, they defended in numbers and waited for counter attacks where we are bound to fuck up at some point. That's it in a nutshell.

I don’t think even Eddie played great...Walker apart the defence was shocking . T he lack of pace was clear and poor decision making. The good teams find us out very quickly.
We made lots of passes but I couldn’t see anything coming from them. Chelsea could sit and counter and they had pace.
Jesus..Did he touch the ball ? Bernardo ? Sterling And many others worked hard but with no end product

The stat showing possession (64% when I looked in on the second half) belies the notion that we are dominating sides. We have suffered most of the season against sides who have a decent goalie, get lucky and benefit from some grim finishing. The clinical side of our game is not a constant. When yer think of the finishing in the first half hour when CFC turned up at The Etihad last season . . . . . . . .!
