The defence was superb. The win was only so comfortable as they dealt with everything so effectively. Not just the back 4 but everyone else too, especially Gundogan and Rodri.


I'll give the award to whichever backroom staff member has been coaching them lately.

Gone for Foden. Hopefully if Pep comes on bluemoon it’ll persuade him to pick Phil against Manyoo on Wednesday.

Rodri had the most touches for City today, most successful passes, won most duels, made the most recoveries and the most tackles.

Doesn't surprise me at all, he was very Gareth Barryesque, don't notice players like that when everything clicks around them.

Went for Rodri but thought Zinchenko was quietly excellent today, especially if you’d read the prematch thread when it emerged he was starting

Credit where credits due, I wrote Gundogan off in the 8 position. Thought he was pure kak there. He’s proving me well wrong this season.

So glad to see Stones, Zin, Cancelo, Gundo and Foden playing blinders (as well as Dias, but that’s par for the course).

Been a knocker of Gundog in the past but he's stepped up a gear or two and is on run of form. His goal was a great piece of skill. More of the same please. A great result

I know GunDog was superb, but Cancelo is quietly becoming world class, he gets better every game.
