Every single player was brilliant. I thought Cancelo and Stones kept Mane silent. Dias controlled Firminho and Salah. Thiago is a brilliant player, but we didn't give him any space to play his game. Gundogan and Bernardo were running like Ethiopians at the Olympics! Mahrez held the ball up well and caused headaches. Foden and Sterling, just wow. Liverpool were shitting themselves every time they picked the ball up.

Almost impossible not to give it Foden for that 2nd half performance but nods to Rodri and Zinchenko and Sterling.
All in all a truly jaw-dropping performance from the whole team.

Manchester City was MOTM yesterday.
What a statement of intent they made

Gundogan, Sterling, Foden, Rodri, Bernardo, Zinchenko and Stones were my stand-outs. Dias did well other than the penalty which I still think he was pretty close to getting away with. Ederson did everything he had to do well, Cancelo was tidy but not as effective as he is against weaker teams which is understandable.

Sterling was man of the match, for his surging run to win the penalty, the number of times he beat TAA, including the one that created our first, the constant menace he provided and the goal.

Gun dog was man of the match, for not letting the penalty miss get to him And being in the right place at the right time for our first two goals.

Bernardo was man of the match, for his constant menace, perfect control and vision, endless running and the assist for Sterling’s goal.

But Phil Foden gets my vote because he was better than all of them.

I voted for Sterling I thought he was unplayable yesterday, He gave Trent and Fabinho all sorts of problems throughout the game he looked to be the one that would unlock the door.
Phil Foden was majestic in the second half when he went out wide right he took the game by the scruff of the neck and dominated it.
Could go on about a number of players yesterday because it was such a high level of performance.

But Raheem gets my vote.

Allison gets my vote a 10 for me , klopp was worried his gk wouldn't be fit enough to play , has we all know he'd been ill with tummy trouble & couldn't pass wind .
But a big welldone to him for making it ,his passing ability was exceptional pinging it
just like debruyne to the feet of our boys lol!

Although I voted for Phil, and am happy with that, I was impressed with Rodders - all the more so after seeing his highlights video on the post-match thread.

Bernie worked as hard as ever, and to good effect. Gundo was also a star.

Just wanted to give a few mentions.

Lots in the frame today, Went with the Stockport Iniesta on the basis of his gliding run and superb finish, but special mentions to Bernado (so good to see him back at his best) Rodders, who hopefully shut a few detractors up for good yesterday), Gundog (despite a quietish first half and another balls up from the spot) and Raz who looked sharper than he has for a long time.

Not forgetting Allison who almost got my vote, until I remembered I wouldn't give them fuckers the steam off my piss never mind any sort of award

Gündogan´s The Man.

It is so hard, because the whole squad is marvelous.

It must have been strange for Aguero watching the last couple of games. "Hola, do you need me any more?" ;)

Honestly, i had it for Brewnardo. It could have been the other headliners but i think they were all underlined by his willingness to sacrifice, that's what makes Pep's teams amazing.

Was great to see Sterling un-leashed and taking on full-backs again. A bit too much of the stand still with his foot on the ball for me in the first half but once he'd got the beating of Arnold he was away.

Rodris best game in a City shirt for me. Exceptional reading, timing and tackling.

I think the HT pep tweek of going 4-4-2 gave more freedom to our wide men and we were able to start getting Sterling 1 v 1 situations. As you said he was away then.
