Man of the Match Summary 2024-25 Season

I'd probably agree with the final outcome, but the numbers (whatever they represent) for Savinho and Doku, not mention Lewis are borderline ridiculous.
3 points for MOTM, 2 for 2nd, 1 for 3rd.

Of the 18 points Lewis got, 13 of them came before October 1st.

Someone (sorry forget who) suggested this and I thought it would be interesting. I'll update the stats for the prior match once we get close to the next match.

Still working on the best way to do this, but updated through AVL game.

The Red bar- How many points the player has received based on on 3 points for 1st, 2 for 2nd, and 1 for 3rd.

The Blue bar - How many times a player has made the top 3.

There have been a lot of recent games where there is only 1 or 2 votes between 3 and 4th place...and in one instance, 3 players split the vote for third place (which was all less than 1%).

Once the season is over, I may try and split this between regular season and competition games, as I think that would be interesting.
Thanks for doing all of this. Legend (boomboom) .

This was my idea and thanks for doing the stats ,I usually pretty much agree with BM motm and I don't think we get it far wrong .iit just shows that the city pots nominations is a load of shit ,KDb and darling .
My only suprise is savinho being so high ,???
For me personally think for consistency over the season I thought kovatic, but the poll doesn't lie .
Thanks again

This is really good....easy to forget things like Lewis having such good early season form....before it all went a bit tits-up.

For next season would a weighted average work out better? For example, is it worth more to get MOTM against Liverpool, Arsenal, Newcastle rather than against the equivalent of Ipswich, Southampton, Rags?

it just goes to show that people vote for players that dribble with the ball and yet do fuck all with it. I wonder in previous years how Sterling would have done? He had his haters but had three times the goal involvements than our current wingers

Double points for MoM in win over the rags.

Rico has had several good games and several poor ones. Mainly during the one win in thirteen run that cost us a title challenge when everyone else was poor too.

Maybe those fans favouring Rico realised it’s hard enough for an out of form player to cover one position, never mind two.

There are a few things there that suggest this isn't the best way of doing things......Ghoulish 20 points, Nico 15 when they've barely played between them, the two wingers look world beaters on this basis. Or has everyone been really shit??

Would say however it seems to have got the correct result by whatever means.
