This is honestly the easiest decision ever. Literally no one played well apart from Ilkay who was brilliant.. out of marks out of 10 he was probably 50% higher than the next best.

Fair play ilkay.. the rest.. fix up.. Pep too.

Ive been a big critic of his conservatism and lack of cojones in the past, but fair play, he has been one of our best players this season and far and away our best tonight

He is a fantastic player and at Dortmund was possibly the best in the Europe at what he did at that moment in time. There was a period under Bobby Manc when he was my number one transfer wish. His very serious and painful injuries understandably removed the bite from his game but even without that he is still a wonderfully gifted player and one of the best players in the world at recycling the ball and quickly when instructed to do so. Also, whenever I see him interviewed he comes across as a very likeable chap, intelligent and considered.

I like him.. top player. Still feel that those horrific injuries changed the player we saw In his early seasons at Dortmund as he lost that bite to go with the natural ability. He would of been a monster but who can blame him being a little less combative after such a rough period.
