Ake ain’t starting on Saturday. Not a chance. Hasn’t played enough football and based on current form be very harsh on Mendy/Cancelo for one of them to sit out for him.
I take your point on previous performances over the years from Mendy but that should have been dealt with in the summer. It wasn’t, and now he’s our only recognised left back so has to start for me.
Cancello and walker with diaz and stones for me

I want Mendy to start but I know he will be make mistakes at some point. So it is what it is . Hopefully we finish our chances and be solid defensively. Massive game for stones and dias

Sincerely hope we hammer them
So we can Shut up the BBC and Sky etc (Tyler and his performing, sneering gob)
Slightly off topic 1 year ago I went on the tram to the home game and to say it was packed was an understatement
However, it was loud then Anti Rag songs being blasted put
Plus Xmas Shoppers etc
Then we get to Picadilly and 4 rags get on and immediately start singing their garbage, this attracts the City Lot singing and all hell broke loose
It ended with some poor sod getting a bottle of beer smashed over his head by a rag Blood everywhere, Children Screaming Etc
Awful Day all round
That's why amongst other reasons I want to hammer them everytime

It's going to come down to taking our chances.
We aren't anywhere near clinical enough up front, however the number of clear chances we have created the past few games is improving which is a good sign. We just need to put our fair share away (Sterling needs to rediscover his 2017/2018 shooting boots)

Their home record this season is terrible

they have to go to Germany and play a full strength team in an intense difficult game

we’re just hitting our stride and everybody should be fit

it’s all falling into place nicely for us

Many times we've seen when these kind of circumstances are in our favour, and we failed to deliver.
The game has a season defining feel to it. Hope we can shut up Fernandez and co.

it will be a no win game for city ? if city win the media will find something to write about how unlucky united was
and if united win it will be liverpool vs united for the title and the good old days of the 2 biggest club in football are back ?

but i will say city need this ? forget the last 4 or 5 derby games and its means more to united with it now being their biggest game of the season and city will finish above them anyway ? its now game on for me city have to show who is boss and take control of the game and put a marker down

pep has a nearly full squad to pick from and even aguero could be back so am feeling ok about getting a result
but we know the officials will give us nothing and will make the game hard for city to play our game. so we have to keep our heads and just play and take the chances

I just don't think we're playing anything like we're capable of at present, the not being clinical is just part of the problem. People getting a bit carried away about beating cannon fodder like Burnley and Fulham, we'll have to up it even more to get a result on Saturday.

I just can’t see us keeping a clean sheet on Saturday. If we going to win it we need to probably score three ! Based on chances created not an issue. Actually finding the back of the net continues to be. Both KDB and Raz missed gilt edged chances against Fulham. Can’t afford to miss those kind of chances in the so called big games.

There is a difference though. Earlier in the season we were creating very little chances, our energy used to drop off after 40 minutes. Since the spurs game, the team has shown more sharpness. We are creating a lot of chances. Trying to reach 90 min match fitness. This could be the effect of rotation!?
Finishing is a certainly an issue.

Think we will win this one. We look better than we have all season and are creating a lot of chances. We can’t count them out though as they do have a back of being shite and then fighting back. Would be nice to put down a statement to the other ‘contenders’ and put 6 past them. I would settle for that.
