A fucking great post. I get to Pep it's just another game, he says he gets the importance of the derby and to a point I believe he does, but he's an ultra professional looking at the bigger picture, he's not a fan. We are.

We had to eat shit for 35 years of mainly mediocrity while those fuckers won trophy after trophy. Due to the tenure of Mr Swales we went from equals, actually probably a bit ahead of them, to being light years behind. The nailed on champions league money, which was huge in comparison to the premier league share out back then, meant every year they pulled further and further away. We had to suffer what seemed like 24/7 coverage of them rammed down our throats everytime we turned on the TV or opened a newspaper. All with their tongue firmly up the rag and Ferguson's arse. We had to endure the taunts, the snide comments and mockery wherever we went and I mean wherever. From the pub to the kebab shop and transport on the way home if anything alerted the moron's you were a Blue you got it. Think that fat twat Howson and multiply him tenfold, with booze thrown in and that was the sort of wankers that got into your face. Like all rag cowards you were usually outnumbered but a few still got a slap. We suffered, we really suffered for supporting our club. In the derby though we knew that on the whole the manager and players got just what it meant to us and we achieved the odd great victory against all the odds.

We as fan's just ask for 100% commitment from the players chose to represent us. That is for every game. For the derby I expect them to play and fight like their lives depend on it and realise they play for the honour of every blue past, present and no longer with us. Take it seriously, itsy not just another game, that's a cliche used for the team and manager who loses it. Make sure it's not us.
Bravo. You also summed it up in a much more diplomatic and conciliatory tone than I could manage, well said my man

It'll be a hard game, probably 5 at the back again with Fred and Mctominay running around in front. They won't be worried about our full backs or double pivot going forward so a lot of pressure on our attackers to come up with some magic and not lose the ball carelessly for counters. I'd take 0-0, don't want to see hand them easy goals on their first foray forward and spend the rest of the game banging our heads off the wall.

Doesn’t even know where Didsbury is in relation to Maine Road FFS.
The case for the prosecution rests, M’lud

Did I say I didn't know where Didsbury was, or did I ask whether Didsbury was close enough to be allowed to have a differing point of view?

This is your problem. So far in this thread you've invented things, then you've lied, then you've put words in my mouth to try and justify it. And then you have the gall to call me Trumpian!

Or maybe I'm wrong and you're just too illiterate to understand a basic sentence.

Only a non-Mancunian, modern hipster, internet and international TV fan could possibly toss off one derby defeat in such a casual fashion.
To toss off three in a year is the sign of someone who supports Pep FC not Manchester City Football Club.
I am a Manc.
I grew up in Longsight and after travelling the country and Europe for many years, I live back in Manchester.
I have been going to the stadium and watching this team with my dad since aged 6 and on my own since I was a child of 11 and before then I could hear the goals going in as I kicked a ball around in the terraced streets where I grew up.
My school didnt have its own playing fields so our home football ground was the astro at Platt Lane, we even had our PE lessons on it.
Suffice to say I will not be lectured about what is and what is not a derby defeat for my club by some fucking internet watching dilettante from the US, Spain, London or wherever the fuck you hail from.
You walk a mile in my shoes in Manchester these last four or five decades then you can talk your usual shite about ‘not watching Spanish football’.
Until then, hush your fucking tourist nonsense
Sometimes 'like' just isn't enough.

Come and call me a liar and illiterate to my face if/when you ever pay your first visit to Manchester. I’ll show you around the city, buy you a pint

Old age mate it's mellowed me. I went through a stage where I was fighting everyone online and in real life about five years ago, due to a bleed on the brain, suffered ironically following City. Thankfully I manage it really well now most of the time

It is hard sometimes being an old time Blue......but hey when hasn't it been? I get the modern outlook and love where we are now as a club and no way would I ever want to be back where we were, but sometimes just sometimes I wish the club and people in it got who we are a bit more and why we're how we are.

Well said

Watching domalino try and dig his way out the huge holes he consistently creates for himself, instead of yielding or letting something go, is truly a sight.

I've not got any reason to stop. I said something sensible, that Gundogan and Rodri both started in the absolute humiliation of United that was the 3-1 in last year's Carabao, and then I said it was a bit much to include our aggregate win in the second leg as a derby defeat and pointed out not even United's fans would try and call that a win.

I never said losing 3 derbies was no big deal that was just a little lie Longsight threw into his "I'm a bigger blue" rant for fun, just like how he invented the idea Guardiola always played his strongest XI in El Clasico but rotates in Manchester derbies because he doesn't care. Both blatant lies, but it seems you liked it anyway, and god forbid I reply, that's just "digging a hole".

However if we are on the subject of digging holes, I will enjoy seeing you try and dig your way out of this on in a few months time.

Pep's done. He's been figured out. It was a mistake to re-sign him, I'm sorry.
I thought that before the match, and I think it now.

Ha, I actually blocked him after the last post where he resorted to barefaced lies just to have a reason to have a go at Guardiola. I realised that when someone is so deranged they will invent reasons to be angry at his own club's most successful manager, there's not really any point carrying on.

Lol. What happened - did you find your big boy pants young lad?

Good man.

Perhaps some time with rusted on locals who have had blue blood running through their veins for generations will help the bloke understand what the derby means to our supporters, and that this is Manchester City FC, not Pep Guardiola FC.

Do yourself a big favour here fella, lick your wounds and quit whilst you're behind, you've been sussed pal. The bigger blue is a nonsense arguement for starters.

You're an American under 30 right, smart arse as well? The poster you are up against has most probably forgotten more about City than you actually know or will ever know because you have never been there before we hit the jackpot and the limelight in the USA and consequently onto your TV screen. Many blues on this forum (myself included) have seen a lot more bad years than good well before televised matches for every live game played nowadays.

And I'm not putting blues down who are not from Manchester either. I have several friends dotted about the UK and the rest of the world. But 95% I can relate to because they are not blues because of fame and fortune of being where we are nowadays. They are blues because they chose this club and stuck with it throughout many lean and barren years.

What you know has been gleaned from the internet and from what you have seen on TV to form your opinions. All cleverly worded like you know what you're on about by experience. You're a clever lad, I'll give you that but you need show more respect. Have you been to a live game btw? You may talk the talk and convince a few you're actually in the know but you cannot walk the walk. And I very much doubt you'd know which way to walk if you were dropped off at Piccadilly station, and it's not towards Didsbury, wherever the fuck Didsbury is: /... ; )

May I recommend you just reflect on your bolshie and condescending attitude you have shown towards others in thinking you're a smart arse by putting posters down, or trying to!

If you learn to respect posters and keep your gob shut now n' then then you'll be on the right track of not pissing certain people off with your 'greater than thou' opinions.

I don't know if Didsbury is close enough to Maine Road for him or the half a dozen posters who agreed with him to be having that point of view, I guess you and the other one are the experts on that.
I feel like this part of your post has been a tad misinterpreted looking at some of the replies to this, to put it mildly. Correct me if I'm wrong of course.

He won’t do that, like some on here have said fucking key board warrior, who doesn’t have respect for fellow blues, oh btw he kicks people in then head then runs off.

Fernandinho needs to play in this game instead of the titanic Rodri, the other night showed how quickly he transitions us in to attack from defence, one pass and we ate away, Rodri, pass back! If only we could have a 25 year Fern then we would be set with a decent centre forward to replace Aguero.

Anyone worried thumping them will mean the sack for Ole?
I really don’t want him to go.
He’s been brilliant for us.
I think he’s on his final warning after their CL debacle and if we hammer them it will be game over for him.
A squeaky 0-1 will probably keep him in the job a bit longer.
For once I find myself not wanting to annihilate the bastards which also feels wrong...
Dont worry it is the gift that keeps on giving. I worried when Moyes, Turtle and Maureen departed but they keep on coming, shame Alan Ball is no longer with us.

This. 100%this.

Really need to crush these cunts tomorrow.
