I think we are going to play well. It's important to win or at least not lose, but it's more important to finish above them and still more important to finish top of the table. I feel quite sure that we will get gradually better and better over the season and that we are likely to win someting big - the Pl or the CL. The potential of this team is huge, it's just a matter of time to show it on the pitch.

I wonder who is going to be left out of the group. Provided that Garcia and Zinch are unavailable, I guess Ake won't make the group. But who will be the other senior player is hard to tell - most likely one between Fernandinho, Aguero and Torres. Would be harsh on Torres but Foden is a local lad and the derby means more for him, plus Pep would be questioned if he didn't have Foden in the group. Ferna looked good in the last games, Aguero is Aguero. But who knows?

We cant do anything about VAR other than be bloody careful about contact in the box (yes Kyle, I'm looking at you). Play our game, take our chances, concentrate for 90 minutes and we will win comfortably.
I think there’s a chance Pep could start Cancelo ahead of Walker today. Obviously Walker’s pace would be a huge asset against the likes of Rashford, but the fact he played on Wednesday plus Guardiola’s recent comments about form/players making mistakes makes me think it’s not a given.

I’d be amazed if Walker didn’t start away to them with their pace but wouldn’t be the first time Pep’s strayed far from the obvious in big games. What worries me about that though is he’s rarely been getting it right in big games for about 18 months now. Hope today is the day he starts to reverse that recent trend.

Start the game fast, don’t give away any stupid fouls and most importantly take our fucking chances. I know it’s early in the season but this could be a game changer for our campaign for good or worse

Yeah, very possibly. I think in general, Kyle is the better, more robust defender and is very effective at defending the counter attack. Against that he can be clumsy and takes risks in the box. Cancelo is more skilful but still gives the ball away too easily in defence and is caught out of position too often. He is better going forward than Walker though. Maybe he will play them both.

I’d like to see Fernandinho start but I think we’ll see Gundogan, Rodri and De Bruyne in a midfield three.

I see this panning out similar to the league cup game & 1-2 in 2016, no way do they come out and attack us, so I expect total control for the first 30 minutes, we score more than one and its game over, hopefully Pep doesn’t overthink things and starts something like:-
Eddie
Walker Stones Dias Cancelo
Ferna Rodders
Mahrez KDB Raz
Jesus
I think the last few games have been auditions for several players/partnerships and despite some decent showings from Bernie Gundy & Torres, that looks as strong as it can be on current form

If it was all fair and square we'd have no trouble at all, as simply put, we are..

A much better team..
Better organised..
Better managed..
Better players in general..
Proven winners..

However, it's very clear that these cnuts don't have to abide by the LotG rules everyone else is subjected to, well nearly everyone bar one..

They got helped out against wet spam for their first goal and midweek and in Germany they should have had both goals disallowed..

The penalty was an absolute joke and the guy on the run from the Greek rossers handled the ball on the way in for their 2nd..

In conclusion, we're going to have to score more than once to get a result as the shower of shit we're playing will have both linos, the ref, the fourth official, the blind, corrupt bastards in the VAR shed, the commentator, his assistant, the guy in the SKY studio, Keane, Scholes and Evra all fcukin' rooting for them..

I sincerely hope we absolutely hammer them..!

All together now

Very possible , he's got an ex Cardiff City manager failure in the opposing dug out , it wouldnt take much to confuse him , false nine , three at the back and put Foden as a left wing back , that would boil Ole's tiny brain.

Ex-Cardiff manager?
Well you’re not wrong but you’re portraying what would generally be described as a “failed Cardiff manager” in the best possible light ;-)

I can see us dominating and losing again, they set up exactly the way to catch us out
I agree. We'll probably keep the ball(58-42%) and knock it about tippy tappy with 15 lame chances, get 2 chalked off and score a tap in. 0-1 at HT. Wouldn't surprise me if they beat us 3-1. I'm usually positive about derbies but I'm not feeling it. I hope they prove me wrong and smash them. It's about time we did. Come on City!!!
